I've said this before and I'll say it again: I could never survive winter without looking like a yeti that just crawled out of a cave. It's the most guaranteed way to keep warm. Especially in a city like New York that can get so frigid, with wind cutting through the buildings and bouncing off the concrete. Instead of hibernating, I take extreme measures.
Gallivanting about the streets of Soho (avoiding Broadway, duh) is a Sunday afternoon activity that we're quite keen on. It's a great day to explore, as Sundays are relatively quiet, to window shop (or real shopping, whatevs), or to grab a brewski. We usually end it by stopping in at Whole Foods or Trader Joe's to stock up on food for the week. It just those types of days of pure bliss that start with no expectations but that lead to really great times.
