There's really no getting around feeling like a double agent in a getup like this. Black and white, incognito sunglasses, leather briefcase-like tote, well, the proof is in the pudding, you can see it for yourself. I'm not much for wearing color and I wasn't planning on breaking my neutral streak in any way when heading to a friend's post-Christmas party a couple of weeks ago. In fact, it actually turned out to be a crazy night and whatever style sharpness I had going for me that day was completely diluted into a hot mess in the hours that followed. But I'll save that story for a rainy day.
Moving along, this tuxedo coat was a Christmas present from my ever so wonderful tender half. Admittedly, I did pick it myself, but the thought was there nonetheless. Even though my life is essentially laid out on the interwebs for the whole world to see, it's still just easier to straight up make a request, since sometimes men find themselves in a pickle when trying to shop for their ladies, am I right or am I right? That way, gift-receiving is always a guaranteed success. Just kidding, presents should be thoughtful affair, I agree.
