The end of summer is always a bit bittersweet. While it means that the hot season's joie de vivre and laissez-faire wardrobe is coming to an end to make way for shorter days and cooler nights, it also entails luxe cozy knit layering, fall harvest, and brown spirit tipples.
I feel lucky to have grown up in the Northeast where we're blessed with four distinct seasons that evoke different sentiments. All of them conjure unique feelings of nostalgia. There's nothing like a late summer jaunt upstate (especially when the sun's rays still shine bright and warm in the daytime) to enjoy the best of what autumn has to offer. Farm and foliage fun.
And maybe a pumpkin spice latte (or two).
