There comes a time in everyone's life when they're seasonally done with the cold. For me, it starts in January as soon as the holidays are over, but I really reach my limit in March.
These are the horrifying realities (and first world problems) of all north east-coasters. Le sigh.
To remedy to my weather woes, I typically begin channeling spring while still afflicted by winter and start dressing like the season I wish we were in—within reason, of course.
Case in point: I was delighted when I found this tropics-conjuring blouse at Aritzia, and while you're not used to seeing me in bright colors, I can tell you now that 2018 will bring a wind of change in my sartorial inclinations.
I've never been attracted to vivid hues and prints like this. I'm not sure what's happening to me, but everything with bold pigmentation is feeling fresh and modern, which makes it all the more of a natural pivot.
Or perhaps it's the never-ending winter that's got me feeling the brights?
